What we agree on.

The terms for using the website, asking for a conversation and donating, in plain language.

01

Who and what these terms apply to

These terms apply to the use of the eletrehivunk.hu website, to the supportive conversations requested through the website, and to the donations made here. The service provider is the EgyüttÉrzés Pastoral Care Association (2600 Vác, Karcsu Antal Arzén utca 5., Hungary; tax number: 19378907-1-13).

By using the website or submitting the forms you accept what is written here. If you disagree with anything, please let us know at hello@eletrehivunk.hu before using the service.

This English text is a translation provided for convenience; the Hungarian version is the authoritative one.

02

What supportive conversation is, and what it is not

Supportive conversation gives room to whatever is hard right now. Our helpers are qualified professionals bound by confidentiality.

Supportive conversation is not a healthcare service: we do not diagnose, we do not treat illness, we do not prescribe medication, and it does not replace psychotherapy or psychiatric care. If we see that you need something else, we will say so and help with a referral.

In a crisis, if someone’s life is in danger, do not wait for our reply: call the 116-123 helpline or 112.

03

Requesting a conversation, appointments

You can ask for a conversation through the contact form or by e-mail. We reply within 48 hours on working days at the latest, and we look for a time together. Sending the form does not yet mean a booked appointment: the booking is made by our confirmation.

The conversation takes place in a quiet room in Vác agreed in advance, or, if you ask for it and it is possible, by online video call.

If you cannot come, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if possible, so we can give the slot to someone else. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the conversation can be held in the remaining time.

04

Fees

The supportive conversation is free of charge. We do not ask for or expect anything in return, and whether you have donated before has no influence on access to a conversation.

We fund our work from donations and from the 1% of personal income tax. A donation is always voluntary.

05

How donating works

You can donate on the website by bank card, as a one-off amount or as regular monthly support, or by bank transfer to account number 11600006-00000001-99714911.

At the end of the process we send a confirmation e-mail. The donation is made in the amount and at the time we confirm; the contract is concluded electronically, in Hungarian, and does not count as a written contract.

The declaration about 1% of your income tax is not a donation but a tax instruction: you make it with the tax authority, not on the website.

06

Payment and card details

Card payments are handled by an external payment provider. The card details are processed directly by the provider: we do not see and do not store the card number.

Apple Pay and Google Pay can also be used for card payments if your device supports them. We give feedback on the website about both successful and unsuccessful transactions.

07

Changing or cancelling regular support

Monthly support can be cancelled or changed at any time, without giving a reason: an e-mail to hello@eletrehivunk.hu is enough. We carry out the request before the next charge, within three working days at the latest.

On cancellation we do not refund donations already made, but future charges stop.

08

Refunds

A donation is a gift, so the consumer right of withdrawal does not apply to it. However, if you entered a wrong amount by mistake, or the transaction ran twice, let us know within 8 days: we will refund the mistaken amount.

We make the refund to the same payment method you used for the donation, within 14 days of your notice.

09

What we use donations for

We use donations to keep the helping service running: for the supervision and training of our helpers, for the cost of the rooms where conversations take place, and for the administration of our operations.

We report on the use of funds every year. The cost breakdown can be read on the About us page.

10

Website content

The texts, photos and graphic elements on the website are protected by copyright. Quoting is allowed with attribution and a link to the article; full reproduction requires our prior written permission.

The pieces published on the blog are for information and summarise general experience. They are not individual advice and do not replace a personal consultation with a professional.

11

Liability

We try to keep the website continuously available and its data accurate, but we accept no liability for downtime caused by the hosting provider, nor for a donation that failed for technical reasons.

We accept no liability for decisions you make based on the general content read on the website.

12

Complaints and remedies

If you are unhappy with anything, whether the conversation, the communication or the donation process, write to hello@eletrehivunk.hu. We investigate complaints within 30 days and reply in writing.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can turn to the conciliation body or the court of your place of residence. For data protection questions, the Privacy notice gives detailed information.

13

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms unilaterally; the amended version takes effect when published on the website. Appointments already confirmed and regular support already in progress are governed by the terms in force when they were made.
